The coffee shop and eatery will anchor Phase II of the Hosea + 2nd development in a corner space, at 2371 Hosea L Williams Drive NE, according to a press release Wednesday.

Perc Coffee Roasters, founded in 2010, is no stranger to the market.

The company, which roasts its own beans, has been a wholesaler in the local area.

“I grew up in Atlanta, and it feels like home to me,” Philip Brown, founder of Perc, said in the release.

“I’m so excited to be a part of Atlanta’s vibrant coffee scene. We’re especially thrilled to provide a comfortable space for the folks of East Lake and the surrounding neighborhoods to come share good times and awesome coffee.”

Brown, an Athens-based musician in the early 2000s, worked as a barista between tours.

He moved to Savannah to “get off the road and follow his coffee dreams armed with a coffee roaster, a bicycle, and a big backpack,” according to the release.

Brown will be joined by Alan Fischer and Jared Hall who will be active in the day-to-day operations of the East Lake Perc Coffee.

Plans for foodservice include dine-in, grab-and-go items, and beer and wine service.

Hosea + 2nd is home to the newly opened Salaryman, Greater Good BBQ, Mix’D Up Burgers, and Poor Hendrix, as well as Cameo Salon.
