Construction began Monday on a pedestrian bridge that will span across Peachtree Center Avenue connecting the Hyatt Regency and the Marriott Marquis downtown.
Estimated for a June 2010 completion, this will be the second structure connecting the two properties.
Erected from the bar level at the Hyatt Regency, this new overpass will attach to the first floor of the Marriott Marquis, above lobby level.
Currently there is a pedestrian bridge that connects the two hotels through Peachtree Center, but not directly.
The new bridge will help aid in the accommodation of large conferences and guests needing to book a large number of rooms. Making travel for these guests utilizing both properties trouble-free and comfortable, this new pedestrian bridge makes booking large groups an effortless decision.
