Chef Nicholas Lambrou will open a new restaurant called Peachtree & North in the former space of Broadway Diner in Midtown.

Alcohol permits this week were filed with City of Atlanta for the concept.

Lambrou confirmed the news in a phone call with What Now Atlanta (WNA) Wednesday.

The new restaurant will offer full-service dining, a bakery and a full bar. In partnership with the Punchline Comedy Club, Peachtree & North will also offer live entertainment, he said.

Lambrou told WNA that his hope is to contribute to and complement the culture of the area, home to the Fox Theater and a little more than half a mile from the Vortex and Laughing Skull Comedy Lounge.

Peachtree & North is in the process of renovations, replacing the diner-style booths with tables, adding hardwood floors and other cosmetic changes.

In related news, Lambrou is in the process of bringing a similar concept—Delray Dinerto life in Marietta. He will split his time between the two concepts.

Opening timelines for the concepts have not yet been solidified, but Lambrou is projecting Delray Diner to open prior to the end of the year.
