The quick-service chicken franchise is looking at adding a dual-line kitchen with a 246-square-foot addition, a dual-lane drive-thru, and a complete exterior remodel, according to plans filed with the City of Atlanta.

A representative for Bryan Auton, the owner and operator of Peachtree at Collier Chick-Fil-A, at first denied the plans when reached for comment by What Now Atlanta (WNA) last week.

“We do not have any plans to do anything in the near future,” they wrote in an email.

When WNA presented the official filing with the City of Atlanta, the story changed.

“We’re working on some kitchen investments for the restaurant and some other updates to the interior,” the spokesperson said.

“However, there is no concrete date of when we will make the improvements other than possibly 2020.”

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is deep in construction across the street.

The medical facility is in the process of widening the road right outside of the Chick-Fil-A.
