Parent Restaurant Jerk Fusion Cafe to Open Drumz N Flatz in Stone Mountain

Drumz N Flatz will be quite a bit different from the catering aspect of its predecessor, but will have a variety of vegan and traditional options.

Drumz N Flatz is a new concept opening up in Stone Mountain from the owners of Jerk Fusion Cafe, another restaurant native to the neighborhood. Drumz N Flatz, which will be located at 5370 Stone Mountain Hwy, is more of a lounge approach to its “parent,” while introducing a more healthy approach to eating wings. “Definitely trying to bring a refreshed, healthier option to wings,” co-owner Stacey Arthur told What Now Atlanta (WNA).

According to Arthur, the tagline is “All about the baked wings,” which come in a variety of different flavors. From regular and traditional boneless wings to vegan options, including burgers. “This is a concept we’ve been working on for four years,” Arthur said to WNA over the phone on Wednesday. This area is ideal for both them and their partner John Arthur, both of whom, and everyone involved, live nearby. “This is more our home ground. Typically we’re trying to do what we do close to home and contribute close to the community.” Arthur also cited the busy streets and car traffic, considering Drumz N Flatz will sit next to the highway. The location they chose also sits near a bus stop and a crosswalk with a lot of foot traffic. The Arthur’s are planning on an opening of December 21st, pending renovations. As of right now, the pair are just changing things around, making it more of the ambiance they’re looking for.

Jerk Fusion Cafe, which sits at 1999 Parker Court in Suite D, has more of a catering aspect to it, creating menus based on the events they are attending. Only one location currently exists. While this is the first location for Drumz N Flatz, Arthur has plans to open up more in the future. They told WNA of a potential location in Gainesville, Florida.
