The fast-food Chinese restaurant is proposed for 3437 Winder Highway, according to construction documents. The site is located off State Route 53.

The ground-up restaurant will be about 2,438 square feet and have indoor seating for 36 people, according to the construction plans. Larson Design Group is the architecture team behind the location.

The site is located across from Robson Crossing, a Publix-anchored shopping center.

Panda Express was founded in 1983 in Glendale, California. There are now more than 2,500 locations worldwide, including more than 70 in Georgia. The menu includes dishes like orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, broccoli beef and kung pao chicken along with sides like rice, chow mein and vegetables.

Additional Georgia locations are also planned for Lawrenceville and Commerce, as previously reported by What Now Atlanta. With the exception of select non-traditional locations (like those at airports and amusement parks), all Panda Express restaurants are owned by Panda Restaurant Group.
