The 1,580-square-foot “paint and sip” concept will open in the Edgewood Retail District, at 1250 Caroline St NE suites 230 and 240.

A permit application this week was filed with City of Atlanta to demo and buildout the space for the franchise in the Edgewood shopping center.

Bianca Barnett, regional manager for the instructional art studio, in an email to What Now Atlanta Wednesday confirmed the news.

Barnett’s parents are the franchisees opening the Edgewood Painting With a Twist. The family also owns a studio in Panama City, FL.

“Our stores offer an interactive art experience that requires no prior artistic ability,” Barnett said.

“We incorporate music, games, contests, and your favorite Drink. We are also very involved with giving back to the community.”

The studio will host “Painting with a Purpose” events regularly where a local cause is chosen and a percentage of profits from that event are donated, she said.

The new Painting With a Twist is expected to open “around November.”

In Georgia, Painting With a Twist has locations Alpharetta, Buckhead, Columbus, Dunwoody, Lawrenceville, Pooler, Sandy Springs, and Savannah.

In related news, Edgewood Retail District—anchored by Target, Lowe’s, Kroger, Best Buy, Ross, Bed Bath & Beyond and Barnes & Noble—will also soon welcome Poke Bar.
