The 1960s mid-century modern hotel will feature 162 keys operated by Austin-based Bunkhouse and 48 commercial studios operated by Paces Properties in conjunction with Bunkhouse.

The studios will offer “intimate, flexible” commercial spaces with a “distinct set of amenities and services.”

“We could not be more thrilled to not only partner with the highly-respected Liz Lambert and her incredible Bunkhouse team, but even more so to bring a true lifestyle hotel to the Atlanta market,” David Cochran, CEO and President of Paces Properties, said in a prepared statement.

“We have envisioned filling this gap for some time and look forward to working with Bunkhouse, as they continue to expand to other markets outside of Texas,” said.

In July 2016, Paces Properties acquired the 3.5-acre parcel which houses the Intown Suites.

“Bunkhouse is really excited to come to Atlanta. It’s an amazing, dynamic city and we look forward to immersing ourselves in the community here,” Lambert said.

“It’s a rare opportunity to get to reinvent a classic mid-century motor court hotel – there aren’t many left in the country – and we can’t imagine a better partner in the project than the Paces team.”

Paces Properties has also partnered with Action Ministries to assess those living at the Intown Suites and help transition long-term tenants to new homes in early 2018.

The soon-to-be-named hotel will begin construction in the second quarter of 2018 with a projected opening in 2019.

  1. Thank you to Paces Properties for their kind consideration to the former tenants/residents of InTown Suites @ Piedmont Circle. You are a first-class company.

  2. Thank God that hellhole was finally closed…. The place was falling apart and was a roach infested, drug infested, hooker infested pit of despair!! And In town Suites?? Bunch of lying, scamming ripoff artists who took your money but failed to give you half of what you paid for!! Lou Ann Murphy and Andrew Roper, two of the most racist a-hole employees to ever run a hotel. Good riddance!! Upper management isn’t much better based on my dealings with them. Thinking about staying at Intown Suites? Think again and run the other way!!!
