The kickoff will mark the start of full-service offerings at the rooftop lounge from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. nightly.

“As the weather warms up, we can’t wait to ramp up activities at Overdrive Lounge,” Mike Sutter, Overdrive Lounge’s general manager, said in a press release Tuesday.

“We’re looking forward to having guests experience the rooftop as they enjoy gorgeous sunset views, a fun cocktail selection and delicious shared plates in the open-air lounge.”

Located on the eighth floor of Solís Two Porsche Drive, Overdrive Lounge offers views of the Porsche Experience Center and planes landing on the runways at nearby Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

The spot is open to hotel guests and the public, accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

Guests of Overdrive Lounge will enjoy tableside service, a selection of shared plates and a cocktail, wine and beer list.

The menu, crafted by executive chef Derrick Green, include sriracha pimiento cheese beignets with green goddess dipping sauce; pulled pork banh mi with chayote slaw and chili yuzu hoisin sauce; and short rib flatbread with fig and onion jam, Manchego and mozzarella cheese.

The cocktail list features hand-crafted selections like the ginger thyme blood orange sparkler, a fig-infused Manhattan and the edible flower-garnished tequila in bloom.

Each Thursday Overdrive Lounge will host a happy hour event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Happy hour during the grand opening Thursday will include Hapeville-based Arches Brewing featuring local draft beers and interactions with Arches’ brewing team.

  1. We are asking all African Americans to boycott this place. Please view the video that is surfacing on FB. DO NOT patronize a place that doesn’t respect you as a patron and treat you like a 2nd Class Citizen.

    1. I understand what you are saying and people should only go where they feel welcome. Please make sure that you know the whole facts that the whole incident started because the lady filming did not realise that there are no reserved seating areas and she was told that by the manager in the video. I do think the Asian woman and the white woman were extremely annoying but the manager could not demand she move only request it. I just like for people to have the catalyst for the incident understood.

  2. Racist establishment. They allow drunk racists to behave how they please and reduce the black guests being harassed.

  3. I will never spend a single red cent at this establishment!!!! It is not so much the trash that passively aggressively harassed the party in the video but because of the horrible response from the representatives of the restaurant that have solidified my decision to NEVER visit this dump!!!! My money has power and so does my review!!! I have friends that value my opinion!!!!

  4. Security is important in a high class establishment. The lounge has an image to protect, and they get the job done. 10/10 would visit again

  5. Racist manager this place is not safe for black people I will never spend a dime her rude is disgusting…Racist place

  6. People are taking the word of a woman saying she reserved a seating area. There are NO seating reservations for this place. It is total bullshit. She was mistaken about it, it was not deliberate though, she basically did not have the right to demand that the Asian woman move. Saying it was her section. The Asian woman was rude back to her and said why should I. The manager told the woman filming the video that there were no sections and the whole situation escalated.

That is the truth of the matter and people should know the whole incident started because the woman did not know the policy of the seating. What happened after that was ridiculous and no one should have started swearing, high fiving and making personal remarks. They all take an L on that nonsense though the Asian woman and the woman in red were very annoying. I can understand why people are upset about their behavior.
