Tiger Sun, a new cocktail bar, is slated to open on Nov. 20, 2024. The 18-seat bar will offer a multi-course, omakase-inspired cocktail experience on a refurbished vintage tour bus.
It is the latest concept from Atlanta-based Electric Hospitality, the team behind Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall, Muchacho, Ranger Station, Strangers in Paradise and the Electric Room.
“I’ve always been inspired by omakase restaurants and the intricacies that go into crafting such a unique menu and experience,” Electric Hospitality founder and CEO Michael Lennox said in a statement. “Through Tiger Sun, I’m able to take that approach and offer the same format as a cocktail-first experience, where each pairing tells a story and lends to the theme of the menu.”
Tiger Sun will feature four courses of cocktails paired with complementary bites. The opening menu is inspired by the 80’s film Karate Kid, offering guests two menus to choose from, Wax On and Wax Off. Menu themes will rotate throughout the year.
The bar team is led by McKenzie Nelson of Ranger Station, crafting each cocktail alongside food pairings by Vice President of Culinary Joe Schafer.
The 320-foot space brought to life by Magnolia Productions features orange shag carpeting, swiveled captain’s chairs reupholstered with sheepskin, and green flower-patterned fabric.
Tiger Sun is located at 904 Memorial Drive SE, behind Muchacho in Reynoldstown. Reservations are now open on RESY. Tiger Sun will host two seatings per evening, Wednesday through Sunday, at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Each experience lasts around 80 minutes. Reservations will be released on RESY at 10 a.m. every other Tuesday in two-week increments.
Tiger Sun is unable to accommodate reservations for groups larger than 6 unless for a private event.
