O4W Town Pantry will bring a specialty grocery store to the neighborhood when it opens at 536 Decatur Street SE. Owner Jalal Dayani confirmed the plans saying, as work has just started on the building, the store is likely six months out from opening.

In addition to specialty items and beer and wine, Town Pantry will feature a salad bar and other grab-and-go items.

A building permit application filed with the City of Atlanta indicates renovations are set to begin on the existing 2-story building, and plans include the addition of an open-air patio. The building totals 4,668 square-feet, and the cost of construction is estimated at $1,200,000.

What Now Atlanta covered the purchase of the property by Boon Development, LLC back in July 2021. The site was sold to the group behind O4W Town Pantry by the Old 4th Distillery owners who planned to expand their business at a separate location. Previous demolition and land disturbance permits for the project were issued for the removal of part of an existing structure at the site.

There’s no online presence for the O4W Town Pantry just yet, so you’ll want to keep an eye on What Now Atlanta for updates on this project’s opening timeline.
