Nonna Mia is by far the preeminent deathmarch member (but that isn’t a good thing). Considering the Nonna Mia concept was first opened in New Orleans, one would expect the food would match the reputation of this locale. WRONG! Nonna Mia offers Italian style cuisine, that of which the owner compares to Sicily (minus the overseas travel). Does the gelato from Sicily have ice crystals? Probably not, though this is one of the main ingredients of the Nonna Mia desserts (Kroger brand ice cream is better quality). A what now, atlanta? panelist recently dined at Nonna Mia and this is their response:

I had the chicken parmesan, two large pieces on a mountain of spaghetti. The chicken tasted like cardboard and the spaghetti was overcooked. If I ran into a homeless man outside who had not eaten in three months, I would save them the agony and refuse to give them any leftovers from Nonna Mia.

Many locals believe the space to be unlucky as all of the previous restaurants have closed. The only way Nonna Mia will survive is if those individuals who prefer quantity to quality continue to dine there.

  1. i enjoy this website, but all the posts are negative and depressing. there has got to be some good news happening in atlanta!

  2. Where is Nonna Mia? Some of the posts dont even mention where the location of the restaurant or business is, which is ultimately not very helpful to those reading the blog!

  3. I have been to Nonna Mia several times and ALWAYS enjoyed the food! The wait staff is friendly and efficient. I don’t understand why it would be on death watch-

  4. I order 2 times a week from Nonna Mia. Food is always better than most Pizzerias in Midtown area. They deliver very quick too. most of the time under 30 minutes. Tiramisu is the best.
