Nike has grown its retail footprint in the Atlanta metro area with the opening of its newest “Live” retail concept stores, Nike by Ponce City Market on November 18, followed by the opening of Nike by Alpharetta on December 9.
“With a sharp focus on serving our Women’s consumer, Nike Live, is a digitally-enabled, small-format store concept designed to reflect the tastes of the neighborhood they are in through distinctive product selections and experiences,” a spokesperson told What Now Atlanta in an email. “Opening two Live stores back-to-back in the Atlanta metro market allows Nike to continue to shape the marketplace of the future: one that is more personalized to consumers’ own shopping journeys, with more localized brick-and-mortar touchpoints and convenient online-to-offline Member services that consumers can access through the Nike App.”
Live stores are designed to “serve their neighborhood consumers in distinct ways,” the spokesperson said. As such, the Nike by Ponce City Market Live store will be more “lifestyle-oriented,” selling styles such as Air Force 1’s, Air Max 90’s, and Blazers complemented by Nike Sportswear apparel products.
Similarly, the Nike by Alpharetta store will offer an expanded selection of performance and running products as consumer insights and digital demand have shown that there is a strong community of runners — specifically Women runners — to serve in this area.
Nike by Alpharetta store will stock key Performance products like the Nike React Phantom Run Flyknit 2 and the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 Shield, and Performance apparel pieces like the Nike One Luxe Mid-Rise Leggings and Dri-FIT One Luxe Short-Sleeve Top.
