It is housed in The Beacon Atlanta development, at 1039 Grant Street SE, B-19.

“Nica Life jewelry was inspired by the laid-back style found on the Nicaragua beaches and blends nica style with the U.S. bohemian style,” a company spokesperson in an email Tuesday told What Now Atlanta.

“All of its jewelry is created by local artisans in Nicaragua as a way to employ makers and keep them out of the coffee fields where they would be doing hard labor for as little as $1.50 a day.”

For each piece of jewelry sold at Nica Life, a portion of the proceeds is donated to education programs in Nicaragua.

During its first day Friday, the company is hosting a grand opening celebration.

Starting at 6 p.m. the public is invited to enjoy a “night of fun, champagne, cupcakes, and discounts.”
