NFA Burger is eyeing four more locations over the next two years, Rough Draft Atlanta reports. The exact locations are still being decided, but north of Atlanta is on the radar, and the first one could open within the next six months.
Owner and founder Billy Kramer started NFA Burger (NFA = “not fooling around”) as a pop-up in 2018 before opening the next year at a Chevron gas station on Chamblee Dunwoody Road, where it is still located.
Since its inception, NFA Burger has racked up accolades, including “Best Burger” wins from Food & Wine magazine, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Atlanta Magazine.
The classic smash burger includes two patties, pickles, American cheese, mustard and “Sassy sauce” on a potato roll. Hot dogs, tater tots, fries dusted with Sassy seasoning, and sweet treats round out the menu.
The original NFA Burger location in Dunwoody will remain, but they do plan to add a standalone kitchen next to the gas station.
“We always knew that if things went well inside the gas station, that we would need to expand operations,” Kramer previously told What Now Atlanta.
Construction on that is expected to begin in October, according to Rough Draft Atlanta. Expect an expanded menu as well, including milkshakes.
As part of the brand’s expansion efforts, Kramer has hired Brett Crowder as chief operations officer of NFA Burger. Crowder has operations experience with DASH Hospitality Group, Slutty Vegan and H&H Hospitality.
