Monday, July 30 will be the restaurant’s first day in business, Wendy Hrkach, a local Newk’s Eatery general manager, Friday confirmed in an email to What Now Atlanta.
The restaurant is situated in a 5,125-square-foot corner space in the Kroger-anchored shopping center adjacent to Walmart.
Howell Mill Square developer Retail Planning Corporation earlier this year combined two spaces—including the former Mama Nikki’s Pizza—for the soon-to-open restaurant.
Newk’s serves soups, salads, and sandwiches, and will join existing restaurant tenants American Deli, Chin Chin, and Subway, in the shopping center.
Existing locations inside the perimeter include Midtown, Town Brookhaven, and North Druid Hills.

Love their food, but this appears to be a step down for them going into a mall food court.
