The wings franchise is planned for Snellville at 3425 Centerville Highway, according to construction documents. The approximately 1,600-square-foot space is located at Shopper’s World, a shopping center operated by Riverwood Properties. The documents indicate plans for indoor seating.
Wingstop began as a small chicken wing restaurant in 1994 in Garland, Texas, and has since grown to more than 2,000 locations around the world. The company began franchising in 1997.
The menu includes classic and boneless wings in a variety of flavors, as well as chicken tenders, sandwiches, fries, and dips like ranch, honey mustard and blue cheese.
Documents indicate the upcoming Snellville location is owned by GSR Group, a Wingstop franchisee and operator of more than 200 locations across several states.
There is currently one Wingstop in Snellville, at 2050 Scenic Highway. As previously reported by What Now Atlanta, Wingstop is also planned for Cumming. A new location recently opened in Dacula.
Construction bids for the new Snellville location will be accepted until Dec. 19, 2024.
