Magnolia Tea Room is coming soon to 37 Keys Ferry Street, slated to be a “sophisticated and welcoming space for tea lovers.”

The concept comes from Marsha E. Simon, an experienced entrepreneur who owns two UPS stores and a commercial real estate company. Passionate about giving back to the community and empowering women, Simon was inspired to start the tea room as a way to honor her mother, grandmother and twin sister and to create a space for visitors to savor the moment, one sip at a time.

“I got the idea after visiting another tea room,” she told What Now Atlanta. “When I walked in, I heard the voice of my mom in my head and all I heard was, ‘You can do this.’ That night I came home and came up with the idea.”

The establishment will feature a selection of carefully curated teas, like Southern Spice Magnolia Chai and Blueberry Cobbler Herbal, along with a variety of eats. The signature tea will be the Caribbean Queen, a sweet and tangy blend with notes of hibiscus, raspberry and cherry. The name is an ode to her husband, who is from the Caribbean.

The menu will include savory dishes like croissant sandwiches, paninis, soup and salads. The signature item will be an open-faced smoked salmon sandwich, which will be topped with cream cheese, avocado mash, applewood smoked bacon, tomato and greens, served on toasted bread.

The 1.5-hour Magnolia Afternoon Tea Experience will feature a selection of teas paired with savory eats and sweet treats, including a tower featuring an assortment of tea sandwiches and desserts.

Magnolia Tea Room will offer a rentable event space for parties, weddings and more. A range of retail items will also be available for purchase.

“I’m excited about the tea room and to be able to share it with the community,” Simon said.

Magnolia Tea Room is expected to open this month.

  1. Quit referring to it as “high tea” because what you are describing and selling is “afternoon tea”. Look it up. Not knowing the massive difference makes you lose all credibility definitely to any Brit or non-Brit who knows. Shocking error considering your whole business is based around it. You sound like ignorant Americans.
