According to the building permit application, the one-story building will be 5,005 square feet. The project is described as “Building a shopping center to rent for future businesses.” It’s not yet clear what kinds of businesses will be going in at the development. The projected cost of construction is $1 million, according to the application.

Construction plans for the development on the corner of Lee Street and Lawton Avenue in southwest Atlanta show space for at least five business units. The proposed shopping center is located near Adair Park and the Lee + White mixed-use development in the historic West End.

The documents indicate that the owner of the property is S.K. Investors LLC, an entity first formed in 2012, according to a filing with the Georgia Secretary of State’s office. A business called Market Place Grocery, now closed, was formerly listed at 1097 Lee Street SW.
