February was a great month for Atlanta with all the new retail store openings that happened this month. Here are some of the businesses that set their foot in Atlanta.
The Designery
Owned by Allie Hauser, this house design company offers a comprehensive service in creating beautiful kitchens, closets, and bathrooms. Atlanta natives Allie and the lead designer Julie Little claim that the brand is driven to beautify spaces while keeping in mind the needs of its users.
The brand’s showrooms offer customers a setup that facilitates personal design consultation, a virtual reality design view, and material & finish selection.
Founded in 2007, the house design brand was originally named A1 Kitchen and Bath. It was rebranded to ‘The Designery’ in 2019 and then set up a franchise model. Its broad range of products, having 100 cabinet style options and more than 25 closet color options, helps both contractors and homeowners.

Sola Salons
Bringing in the concept of premier salon suites, Sola Salons opened its doors in Atlanta on February 12. Mike Balsamides, the general manager, shared his excitement about bringing the store to beauty professionals who would join the 20,000 independent salon owners running their businesses at Sola Salons. The brand started in 2004 and features a collection of boutique, move-in-ready salon suites with floor-to-ceiling walls and glass doors that fully close.
Sola Salons’ suites are properly equipped with full spectrum LED lighting, oversized sliding/locking doors, on-site laundry facilities, WiFi, sound-insulated walls, and more.
Spread across 750+ locations across the US, Sola Salons has a community of expert stylists, nail technicians, waxers, estheticians, makeup artists, cosmetologists, hair extension specialists, and other professionals.

Chef’Store
Wholesale grocery store Chef’Store opened its newest outlet in the Atlanta suburb region in Sandy Springs. With a grand opening on February 8, it invited customers for product giveaways and complimentary food sampling. The brand offers its food supplies to restaurants, food truck owners, and caterers.
Originally based in Illinois, Chef’Store is owned by the popular US Foods. It had started its services in 2012 and currently has over 96 stores, including the one at Sandy Springs.
