The Downtown Atlanta place is high-end, food-forward, focuses on craft ales and opened in January 2025. The Nordic-inspired Skol Brewing Company is designed and curated to satisfy the inner Vikings of their diners.
The menu was designed by Chef Rich Rosendale and includes classic pub food. Guests can choose from onion rings to fried pickles, chicken tenders, nachos, and a variety of burgers. Beverages include a rotating selection of Skol’s brews, beer from other breweries, wine, cocktails, mead, and cider. The full menu is available on the official website.
The interiors of the brewpub span a 5,000 square foot space and have a total of 124 dedicated seats, which are a mix of high, low, and soft seating. There are plenty of TV’s that play Viking games and all other major football games. The floors are made of hardwood, and the decorations include antler chandeliers. There space also features a backlit bar. Also, snow machines throw snow in the space at every touchdown the Vikings make. The snow also falls in the space when the day’s service winds up.

Offering savory New Zealand-style pies, Heaps Pies opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Metro Atlanta on January 9. The restaurant was previously a pop-up. The promise of the restaurant is a quality double-crust hand pie with a flaky puff pastry top.
A few traditional Kiwi classic pies along with a variety of pies from their rotating menu are served at Heaps Pies. Their pies are inspired by a wide range of savory cuisines, seasonal produce, and ingredients sourced through its local partners. The favorites at the restaurant include Steak & Mushroom Pie, Thai Chicken Curry Pie, and Sausage Roll Pastries.

Boqueria, a Spanish tapas bar and restaurant, has brought tapas to Colony Square in Atlanta this January. The restaurant has a Lunch, Dinner, and Brunch menu for food. Spanish classics like Tapas, with various cheese and charcuterie, salads, sandwiches, and bowls, are part of the menus.
It also has a separate menu for desserts. The Social Hour Menu, with $7 bites, mini martinis, and more, will be offered from 3 to 6 PM every day and from Thursday to Saturday from 9 PM to closing.

Atlanta’s First Ceviche Bar At Madre Selva

Madre Selva officially opened with Latin flavors and a vibrant atmosphere in January 2025 in Atlanta. As the bold flavors meet a tropical vibe, the essence of traditional Peruvian flavors comes to life at the restaurant. The restaurant’s soft opening was in late December and the doors fully opened in January.
A variety of seafood dishes, from classic Peruvian ceviche to Peruvian scallops, are offered at Madre Selva. Diners can taste exquisite tiraditos, Tuna Ceviche, and Lomo Saltado at this place. They also serve craft cocktails like Pisco Sour and more, which fuse tradition with exotic twists.
Enjoy the food and drinks in the interiors adorned with handpainted Murals and handmade furniture. Currently a total seating capacity of 150 guests, the space will have a patio that will open in early spring. Designed to give the Amazon jungle vibes, the space also has lamps sourced from South America and hand-painted plates by local artists.

Irie Mon Cafe opens in Midtown Food Hall
Irie Mon Cafe serves Jamaican Cuisine with items like jerk wings, patties, oxtail stew, pasta, and more. The cafe became the newest tenant at the Politan Row at Colony Square in January. Run by the Father-daughter duo Christopher and Payton Williams, it started as a food truck and now has the flagship location at Buckhead.

Long-time residents of Smyrna, Gabriela Miles, and her husband are opening their neighborhood coffee shop, Smyrna Coffee. The coffee shop will be serving coffee, tea, and a variety of light bites. The emphasis of the space and the offerings will be quality and simplicity. A variety of sandwiches will be offered, along with croissants, danishes, bagels, egg bites, and savory pastries sourced from local bakeries.

The popular quick-service restaurant chain Chick-fil-A opened a new location at Ponce De Leon, at the heart of the Atlanta City. Serving everything from the original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich to all the other items, the new location was the latest addition to a large number of locations of the chain in Atlanta.
