Whether it be an elegant dining experience, a relaxed drink, or a festive meal that one is looking for, these new spots have something for everyone. The restaurants offer something for every palate and are inviting diners to check them out.

A sleek Japanese eatery bringing authentic flavors, a stylish wine bar offering guests the chance to unwind with curated selections, and a popular Mexican chain spices things up with bold, familiar dishes are among this month’s latest restaurants.

The Japanese restaurant Yuji, located at 667 Auburn Ave was opened in the first week of February. The restaurant is inside the Junction Krog District building, along Atlanta’s Eastside Beltline.

The restaurant serves a Kaiseki-inspired menu, a traditional Japanese multi-course meal. Diners can expect dishes like blistered shishito peppers and umami-rich dishes, along with sushi rolls and king crab rolls. A Bento box option is also available for Lunch. For beverages, diners can choose from cocktails, beer, wine, and sake on draft. They also have nonalcoholic mixed drinks like the Yuji cobbler and orange fennel oleo saccharum.

The team at Kinjo Enterprise operates the restaurant. They are known for being the team behind other restaurants like Kinjo Room, MF Sushi, Yakitori Kona, and Paya Thai.

The restaurant will serve lunch from Tuesday to Sunday, 11 AM to 2 PM, dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, 5 PM to 11 PM, and Sunday, 5 PM to 10 PM. It remains closed on Mondays. Reservations for the restaurant can be made through the Resy page.

Madeira Park is a wine bar that was opened by some of the veterans of Atlanta’s Restaurant Industry. James Beard award-winning chef Steven Satterfield and Neal McCarthy of Miller Union joined hands with sommelier Tim Willard of DIVE Wine Bar to open this new place. Located at 640 N. Highland Ave. NE, it is on the ground floor of Otto’s Apartment Hotel (Previously known as the Highland Inn).

The wine menu will offer full and half-pours of 25 wines by the glass. It has a library that consists of about 80 bottles. Low-ABV cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic options will also be available. Guests may also get access to a secret menu called “The Book” which includes a selection of rare wines.

As for the food, Chef de cuisine Ollie Honderd and Satterfield have created a menu that offers shared plates and snacks. Charcuterie boards, oysters, chicken with Armagnac jus, dressed oysters, ham and cheese beignets and several other delectable dishes make up the food menu.

The wine bar and restaurant will open at 3 PM Tuesday through Friday and at 12 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Reservations can be made on the official website.

Rreal Tacos Decatur

The Eighth metro Atlanta location of the popular Mexican restaurant chain was opened in Decatur this February 10. The design of the space has been created such that it is more than a place to eat and can be a place to get together with people in a lively setting. Located at 312 Church Street, the 3,500-square-foot space previously belonged to Ponko Chicken.

The menu items are a reflection of the bold and traditional flavors of Mexico, and can be paired with the handcrafted margaritas offered. Beef barbacoa, pork carnitas, Rreal nachos, salsas and fresh guacamole are some of the signature dishes of the restaurant chain. 

As for the margaritas, there are options like Classic lime, Fruity variations, and Spicy ones. A selection of tequilas, mezcals, and refreshing agua frescas are also available.

Real Tacos Decatur will be open from Monday to Thursday, from 11 AM to 11 PM. On Fridays and Saturdays, it will be open from 11 AM to 12 AM. As for Sundays, the timings will be 11 AM to 10 PM.

Smalls Sliders

Stockbridge saw the opening of the cheeseburger slider brand, Smalls Sliders, this February. The restaurant spans 750 square feet and has been made from shipping containers, and includes an outdoor patio. It features a sleek and efficient slide-thru, a convenient walk-up window, and a distinctive modular design crafted from Smorange shipping containers.

The restaurant will serve fresh, cooked-to-order cheeseburger sliders, which is a brand known for. Seasoned fries, shakes, queso and Smalls Sliders signature Smauce will also be among the offerings.

The address of the restaurant is 1660 Hudson Bridge Rd, Stockbridge. The timings for the restaurant Monday to Thursday and on Sunday will be 10 AM to 10 PM. Friday and Saturday, the restaurant will be open from 10 AM to 11 PM.

Offering a variety of cuisines and flavors, the restaurants have enriched the local food scene in Atlanta. As 2025 progresses, even more new restaurants are expected to open all around Metro Atlanta, including much-anticipated ones.
