The space is the former home of Rio Bravo Fresh Mex in Buckhead Village, and the permits are the first step towards developing the project.

Architecture firm The Preston Partnership will design the tower which will be built by Lennar Corporation.

The new tower will feature a parking deck, 291 residential units and 6,800-square-feet of retail space. The .935-acre site sits directly across Irby Avenue from Hanover Buckhead Village, another residential and retail tower that will be home to new locations of the Iberian Pig and Cafe Posh.

Amenities at 3172 Roswell Road will include a terrace above the parking podium, rooftop pool, club room and fitness center.

Buckhead Village has exploded with new development in recent years, including the redevelopment of Charlie Loudermilk Park, new condo building The Charles and, of course, luxury shopping and dining destination Buckhead Atlanta.
