Plans this week were filed with City of Atlanta to build the new RaceTrac from the ground-up at 2429 Bolton Road NW.

A manager at the existing RaceTrac Friday confirmed the move in a telephone interview with What now Atlanta.

The location sits between the Riverside and Fernleaf neighborhoods in an industrial sector of Westside Atlanta.

An estimated $1,300,000 could be spent building the new convenience store with dumpster enclosure, patio and sidewalks, according to the permit filing.

Separate permits are expected to be filed for the underground tanks and canopy.

According to company representatives who confirmed the move, the future location will be a new “prototype store” with a frozen dessert station, large coffee area, free wifi and outdoor seating.

Please note, as of November 13, 2017, this story has been updated with new comments from company representatives.
