The new location, set to open in 2018, will be built from the ground-up across the street.
The RaceTrac fuel station and convenience store, at 2325 Marietta Boulevard, in 2018 will relocate across the street.
Plans this week were filed with City of Atlanta to build the new RaceTrac from the ground-up at 2429 Bolton Road NW.
A manager at the existing RaceTrac Friday confirmed the move in a telephone interview with What now Atlanta.
The location sits between the Riverside and Fernleaf neighborhoods in an industrial sector of Westside Atlanta.
An estimated $1,300,000 could be spent building the new convenience store with dumpster enclosure, patio and sidewalks, according to the permit filing.
Separate permits are expected to be filed for the underground tanks and canopy.
According to company representatives who confirmed the move, the future location will be a new "prototype store" with a frozen dessert station, large coffee area, free wifi and outdoor seating.
