A new mochi donut concept, Mochimee, is set to take up residence at 63 Broad St NW, courtesy of local franchise group Boxete, which is also behind a forthcoming outpost of the similar brand Mochinut, as well as Jaws TPK, a Korean street food concept that’ll make its Eastern US debut in Duluth later this year.

Commercial real estate firm TriBridge owns the property that Mochimee will operate out of.

By press time, a representative of Mochimee had not returned a request for more details.

Little information about Mochimee can be found online, however, there does appear to be a location that opened last month in Greenville, South Carolina’s Haywood Mall, according to an article published Mar 6 in the Upstate Business Journal

In that article, Mochimee CEO Chris Kim is quoted as saying, “Mochimee will be mainly serving doughnuts and other drink and dessert menu items such as boba tea, waffle pops and hot dogs. Our donuts are gaining popularity due to their unique shape with a crispy coating with a soft chewy texture on the inside.”
