Atlanta's First Midnight Indian Buffet and Party Venue Invites Guests to Eat, Drink, Repeat

Jalsa brought a whole new vibe to Johns Creek when it opened on April 7. The 21-and-over lounge loft and party space features an unlimited buffet with appetizers for $14.95, a cocktail bar, and Bollywood-style entertainment.

Jalsa will be open on weekends from 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 8 p.m.-midnight on Sunday. The buffet features Southern and Northern Indian dishes like samosa chaat, chili chicken, peanut masala, chili bajji, and more. Guests can order from a selection of biryanis from the menu. The late-night menu is complemented with signature cocktails like Chaar Chuski made with cinnamon-infused scotch, angostura bitters, pineapple juice, and lime juice and Anarkali made with vodka, watermelon juice, lime juice, and garnished with a lime wheel. Indian beers, draft beers, spirits, wines, and popular Indian beverages such as mango lassi also are offered.

The metro-Atlanta area is ranked in the top 10 cities in the U.S. for Indian population, and as a result, the popularity of Indian food is exploding across the region. Jalsa will feature Bollywood music nightly and offer live music on special occasions.

“Jalsa translates as ‘festive gathering’ in India, and we’ve created this one-of-a-kind space to have colorful, fun parties,” says owner Kavitha Nimmagadda in a statement. “We’re excited to offer the first immersive experience in Atlanta with high-energy live music and Bollywood-themed entertainment. The unlimited buffet of creative Indian appetizers will have something for all palates including vegan and vegetarian options.”

The lounge seats 110 guests and is a destination for cocktails and mocktails with friends, and to host groups for bachelor parties, girls’ nights, birthday celebrations and office parties.
