Boarding Pass Coffee is located at 360 Commerce Street at Alpharetta City Center.

The shop has authentic airplane seating, aviation accessories and a real airplane hanging in the store. In addition to coffee, the menu includes a variety of breakfast and lunch options, including pastries, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads and a customer-favorite: pão de queijo, Brazilian cheese bread. Vegan and gluten-free options are available. Boarding Pass also serves an array of hot and iced tea, matcha and lemonade.

The space offers kid-friendly games and activities, including an interactive mural along the interior walls.

The locally owned artisan coffee roaster was founded by Murilo and Christine Santos. Murilo was born and raised in Brazil, where his family owns a coffee farm about 2.5 hours from Sao Paulo. The couple share a passion for travel and coffee, and they launched Boarding Pass Coffee in 2020.

The new location at Alpharetta City Center is the brand’s second in Alpharetta and fourth overall, adding to existing shops in Gainesville and Milton.

Each roast is named after a unique travel destination and comes with a postcard with details about the location. The specialty-grade and single-origin coffee is roasted in-house, with five of the roasts offered at Boarding Pass Coffee coming straight from Murilo’s family farm.

“Our goal is to bring the taste of global coffees to Alpharetta and inspire people to explore the world through our flavors and experiences,” Christine said in a news release. “A vibrant, welcoming and family-friendly destination, ACC is the ideal place to expand our growing footprint around metro Atlanta. We’re not just brewing coffee, we’re creating a community space where customers are encouraged to try new things and connect with their neighbors on a daily basis.”

Continuing the travel theme, Boarding Pass Coffee gives customers their very own passport to keep track of each brew they’ve tried. Each brew has its own visa stamp for customers to check off their bucket list.

An official ribbon-cutting with the City of Alpharetta is set for Aug. 28, 2024, at 10 a.m.

Boarding Pass Coffee is open at 7 a.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. on weekends.
