Luga is slated to debut at Avenue East Cobb in spring 2025. It is the newest concept from Ben and Seth Gjuka, the owners of the Italian bakery in Peachtree Corners called Giulia.

The 4,400-square-foot restaurant will be a “blend of casual elegance, offering a unique culinary experience with every detail reflecting the authenticity of Italian cuisine.” A 28-seat bar will be the focal point of the restaurant, which will also have a spacious open kitchen. There will be a 20-person private dining room and a retractable glass wall that opens onto a patio.

The seasonal menu will feature antipasti, salads, pizzas, and housemade pastas.

Luga is one of several new tenants announced for Avenue East Cobb, along with luxury bedding store Boll & Branch, women’s apparel brand Nic + Zoe and Japanese restaurant Tenku Sushi Elevation. The Gjukas are also bringing a second location of Giulia to the Marietta mall, which will be located right next to Luga.

Originally opened in 1999, Avenue East Cobb is a 30-acre development in Marietta. In July 2021, North American Properties (NAP) entered a joint venture partnership with the development’s owner PGIM Real Estate to revamp the shopping, dining and entertainment center. NAP launched redevelopment in August 2022 and completed it in a year, debuting the revitalized destination in September 2023.

“It’s been such an exciting journey introducing new retailers, restaurants and entertainment to the East Cobb community – and it’s only going to get better,” Avenue East Cobb marketing manager Madison Murphy said in a statement. “There’s nothing we love more than creating memorable guest experiences, and these additions will certainly help us do that.”
