The upcoming concepts – Lime Tiger, Boom Boom Bao and Uwu Asian Dessert Co. – are slated to open in spring 2025.
The new additions to the destination’s first-floor food hall come from Dinh Tran and Khanh Dang. The husband-and-wife team are the owners of Vietvana, a Vietnamese restaurant with an existing location at Ponce City Market, along with locations in Avondale Estates and at Lee + White in Atlanta’s West End.
What we know about the new concepts:
Lime Tiger
Lime Tiger will serve lunch and dinner with a bento-box concept focused on Southeast Asian street food flavors from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia and Thailand. The menu will feature a build-your-own tray, with rice, protein, carb and garnish. The decor and branding will evoke food carts from across Southeast Asia. The owners say Lime Tiger is a celebration of what unifies these diverse cultures.
“Limes because they add brightness to every dish, and tigers because of their beauty and agility,” Tran said.
Boom Boom Bao
Boom Boom Bao will serve breakfast and lunch. The menu includes bao buns in varieties like pork and egg, chicken, tofu, seafood and more, as well as steamed dumplings and soup dumplings. The logo and brand are inspired by vintage Chinese fireworks packaging.
Uwu Asian Dessert Co.
Uwu Asian Dessert Co. will focus on Japanese-inspired sweet treats and desserts. Menu items at Uwu (pronounced “oh-woo”) include pastries, egg waffles, bingsu (shaved ice), and milk teas and coffees. The branding will incorporate Japanese pop art with a nod to the concept of “kawaii,” meaning cute or endearing.

Vietvana, which opened at Ponce City Market in December 2021, offers authentic Vietnamese foods like bánh mì and phở.
“We look forward to bringing more Asian concepts to Ponce City Market,” Dang said. “Vietvana has thrived in this space and we felt it was time to expand to give our customers new experiences and expand their palettes a little more. We’re inspired by sharing Asian culture through something all people love: food.”
The new eateries are expected to be located near Vietvana. The menu there will expand with new soup flavors, including curry and spicy soups. All coffees currently on the Vietvana menu will move to Uwu.
Umbrella Bar is also located in that area of the food hall, and pop-up chef accelerator Punk Foodie @ Ponce was formerly located there before closing in May.
Ponce City Market is located in the Old Fourth Ward along the BeltLine Eastside Trail. The Jamestown-owned mixed-use hub features a food hall and retail shops.
Other concepts at Ponce City Market’s Central Food Hall include Botiwalla, Minero, Bibi Eatery, El Super Pan, Hop’s Chicken, H&F Burger, Pizza Jeans and more.
