Richard Saint Preux is a chef and DJ by training who’s shifted gears over the years into the world of consulting and helping businesses develop. Those who seek out his services typically are first-time business owners who aren’t as familiar with the lay of the land, so what Saint Preux provides is a level of education. The name of the business is Upscale Multiservices and it will be opening at 5385 Five Forks Trickum Rd in Stone Mountain sometime in December, right next to vegan restaurant Grass VBQ Joint.
“Some people don’t know how to do LLC and some people don’t know how to start a business,” Saint Preux told What Now Atlanta (WNA) over the phone on Wednesday. “Why give us the money and we’ll do it for you when you can come here and learn it from us.” Saint Preux wants to educate people while helping them navigate the world of entrepreneurship, so they can prosper once their services are up. He’s hoping that his past clientele can help others move forward with their dreams as well. “If I teach you and you learn you can teach everybody.”
After spending a good amount of time working towards becoming a chef, his life caused him to take a sharp turn into PR work and business. They feel immensely grateful for all the opportunities that have been presented to them — a lot of amazing coincidences that transpired to get them here. “If I would have gone to Le Cordon Bleu, I wouldn’t have had my success.” Saint Preux says he owes a lot of his success to his mentor, the late Congressman John Robert Lewis.
