Neighborhood Wraps to Bring Fast, Healthy Food to Reynoldstown

Opening in February, the eatery will prepare to-go smoothies, salads and, of course, wraps with fast-food efficiency

Although the area surrounding the upcoming site of Neighborhood Wraps at 1187 SE Wylie St. in Reynoldstown is rife with fast-food joints and has a selection of sit-down restaurants, owner Javone Nurse seeks to fill a yet-unmet niche of quickly-made, healthy options. Planning to open the eatery at the end of February, Nurse told What Now Atlanta that she was faced with the lack of such options when she and her employees at nearby Prissy in the City Beauty Spa grew “tired of ordering Chick-fil-A every day.”

Neighborhood Wraps will be the first of several new businesses to populate the 9,300 square feet of retail space at 1187-1195 SE Wylie St., which offers five “bite-sized” sections for future restaurants and retailers at just over 1,000 square feet apiece, with the largest available space measuring 2,026 square feet. Todd Semrau of Oakhurst Realty Partners represented the landlord in the lease transaction, and Kronberg Architects have designed significant renovations to the site, primarily focused on adding a 1,000 square-foot outdoor patio space.

Outdoor dining will be crucial for Neighborhood Wraps, which is currently only permitted to provide takeout. Per its name, Nurse said the establishment will offer a wide variety of wraps ranging from “jackfruit to chicken to shrimp,” along with smoothies and salads.

“We came up with the name because that neighborhood is very important to me and my kids,” said Nurse. “That neighborhood has been connected to us for a very long time. We want to bring a family environment and a close-knit community vibe to it.”
