‘Multi-Unit Restaurant Group’ Buys YEAH! BURGER Space In Virginia-Highland

Undisclosed buyer is said to soon announce their intentions for the prime space

YEAH! BURGER’s location in Virginia-Highland, at 1017 North Highland Avenue NE., has been purchased after hitting the market in August. The freestanding restaurant — home to the burger joint since 2010 — has been acquired by an undisclosed “multi-unit restaurant group,” Steve Josovitz of The Shumacher Group, Inc., told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in an email Friday. Josovitz represented the seller and “guided all parties to closing.”

“The buyer is a well respected, well established, and popular multi-unit restaurant group who will soon release information,” Josovitz said. The sales price was $325,000 which included the restaurant’s furniture and equipment assets — albeit the YEAH! BURGER name and brand are not included — and the right to negotiate a new long-term lease.

YEAH! BURGER owner Erik Maier on Friday did not immediately respond to WNA’s request for comment but said in August at the time of the listing that his team would shift their focus to opening a new location of sister eatery Upbeet. Details on the planned Upbeet are under wraps.
