Hedgewood Homes is building what they are touting as “a refreshingly modern take on the early European urban village” in Lindridge-Martin Manor.
Phase II of Manchester, a group of 104 homes, is currently under construction at 655 Lambert Drive, just south of where 85 crosses Piedmont.
Developers promise an “almost magical” transformation of what used to be an industrial site.
The project will feature single family attached and detached homes, including live-work units. TSW Design designed and submitted plans for the project.
Renderings for Manchester depict a pool, a few lush common areas and on-street parking for several of the homes.
Phase I for the property was recently completed, and Hedgewood’s website claims only one unit is still up for grabs in that collection.
Prices begin in the low 400s.
In the adjacent Armour/Ottley industrial area, Armour Yards, a $70 million redevelopment project is under construction. What Now Atlanta first broke news of the large-scale project in August of last year.

Oh, really? Where do you say it is then? B/C it sure looks like it is to me per the map provided by Carl below…

All I can explain is that I live on Strathmore Drive in Martin Manor, which was an old farm with the creek as its border. I cannot explain what the google map man says.
Have you been in the completed phase? How this was ever approved is beyond me. There are “alley’s” to access garages. If you have any sizeable automobile, you are going to become a parking master, or parking on the street. I don’t think any SUV would fit in here.
That site off Lambert used to be the home of a lead plant. Researched old studies about the soil samples being bad there. Due diligence is needed because the articles never specified the outcome of the lead controversy.
