A new mixed-use development is proposed for Bartow County.

The project called Etowah Heights at Red Top would include 1,690 residential units in the form of 850 multifamily units, 220 single-family homes, 210 attached units for seniors and 410 townhomes, according to a recent Development of Regional Impact (DRI) filing. Atlanta Business Chronicle was first to report the news.

The 400-acre site for the proposed project is located on Red Top Mountain Road, east of Interstate 75 and near Lake Allatoona and Red Top Mountain State Park. In addition to residential space, the development would include a 110-room hotel, 38,000 square feet of office space, 53,750 square feet of retail space and 28,750 square feet of restaurant space.

According to the DRI filing, Equity Management Company is the developer of Etowah Heights at Red Top. The property management firm is based in Marietta.

The development would be complete in 2034.
