The pop-up concept, from Big Citizen Partners Darren Carr and Eric Simpkins (the group behind The Lawrence and the upcoming Midtown restaurant Bon Ton), would temporarily take over the Tapa Tapa restaurant space, at 931 Monroe Drive.

Miracle on Monroe, a partnership with New York City’s Miracle on 9th Street, would be open Friday, November 25 through Saturday, December 24.

“When we heard that Miracle was expanding after their success in 2014/15, we knew Atlanta was the natural next step,” Simpkins said in the release.

“This city is vibrant and enthusiastic, willing to support creative and unique food and beverage concepts. Not to mention, Southerners are notorious for reveling in the holiday spirit! We’re thrilled to introduce Miracle on Monroe to locals, greater Atlanta residents, and visitors to shamelessly celebrate the season.”

Reminiscent of the tinsel takeover of the ’50s and the toppers and baubles from the ’60s, complete with a fire, at Miracle on Monroe, guests could expect “inexhaustible holiday decorations” from floor-to-ceiling with holiday movies and tunes on non-stop.

Miracle on Monroe would host themed events, Wednesday through Sunday, like Tacky Christmas Sweater Contests and local choral performances. Each Wednesday, guests are invited to view a holiday movie. Every Thursday night, a local guest bartender will mix drinks to their favorite holiday album.

“Cookie Hour,” the pop-up’s take on happy hour Fridays 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., would include complimentary cookies.
