Midtown’s Groovy Smoothie closes after a year

Groovy Smoothie has closed its Midtown location.

The smoothie shop, at 1001 Piedmont Avenue, shuttered its doors for good this past week, employees at the neighboring Subway told What Now Atlanta (WNA) over the phone Sunday.

Groovy Smoothie was open for less than a year. The smoothie shop opened March 2012, replacing italian ice spot Repicci’s (formerly Smoothie King).

“For Lease” signs have already been placed outside of the Midtown Space.
