What Now Atlanta followed up with Todd Tucker over the phone who explained that the project has been in permitting for about a year and if it comes to fruition, it would likely be a Mexican food spin-off of the original Old Lady Gang concept.

Tucker was not certain about the permitting or construction timeline.

DonJuan Clark, general manager for KandiKoated, concurred, adding that the team would share more details once the project is further along.

For now, the permit requests approval for interior conversion and alterations to create a restaurant in a 3,733 square foot home-styled former bank site.

Other construction specs call for a rear addition to the building, new partitions and flooring.

While the name has not been finalized, “Ole’g Tacos and Tequilas” is how the project is being referred to in official City documents.

The restaurant would be the fourth for the show biz couple, who opened Old Lady Gang southern food eateries in Castleberry Hill, Camp Creek Marketplace and the State Farm Arena.
