Metropark USA Inc., a Los Angeles based apparel chain, has filed for bankruptcy and is shutting all 69 stores including their locations at Perimeter and Lenox malls, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Lane Jones, an employee at the Perimeter mall location, confirmed over the phone Saturday the clothing retailer was closing.
What Now Atlanta asked her when Metropark would close their Perimeter Mall location.
“I’m not quite sure,” Jones said.
As of Saturday, all merchandise is 20 percent off, expected to rise to 40 percent off and more, according to Jones. Metropark merchandise includes items from True Religion, Diesel, Rock & Republic and BCBG.
The stores are also selling high-end DJ equipment, flat-screen televisions, apparel racks, shelving and lighting, according to two firms hired to run the going-out-of-business sales.
