Ford is launching a new gelateria called Cremalosa Gelato in the Bazati Hall brasserie and market, according to sources close to the project.

Bazati Hall, situated in the under-construction Common Ground development, will be home to several market stall concepts like Cremalosa.

A permit application this week was filed with the City of Atlanta to buildout the forthcoming 455-square-foot gelateria and a GoDaddy-parked website for Cremalosa sits ready for development.

Constructing the market stall, including adding walls and finishes, is expected to cost an estimated $80,000.

C. Scott Wilkins, a partner at Bazati Hall’s parent company The Diligence Co., Thursday told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in a telephone interview that the market is nearly 100 percent leased.

Tenant announcements could come as early as end-of-February, early March, Wilkins said.

Bazati Hall is expected to open April 2018.

Ford in recent years has been creating and spinning gelato and sorbetto daily for U Restaurants, particularly for its Novo Cucina concept in Dunwoody.

In April 2017, Ford teased “#Cremalosa” on her Instagram page and around the same time told Facebook friend Jeff Lodge she would be shipping gelato to places like D.C. in 2018.

Ford did not immediately return WNA’s request for comment.
