It’s the first step towards turning the land the restaurant sits on into a mixed-use development from new landlord Green Street Properties.
While the tavern itself remains under the same ownership, Green Street purchased the land in February and appears to be moving forward swiftly with changes to the 1.6 acre property.
Manuel’s Tavern will close for 90-120 days at the beginning of 2016 during the renovations, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page. Renovations on the 9,600-square-foot space will cost an estimated $1,000,000.
Owner was not immediately available for comment.
