Manuel Maloof—an extended family member of the Manuel’s Tavern fame—is launching Manny’s Grant Park Pub. The new restaurant will anchor the Pace Properties development, at 588 Woodward Avenue.

Manny’s Grant Park Pub will feature a family-friendly dining room, a patio-area featuring TVs to catch Atlanta sports including football, soccer and baseball, and a small game room with darts and other pub games, according to a press release Monday.

The bar will take center stage and carry an extensive wine list, 20 plus beers on draft, and feature Moscow Mule slushies.

“I’ve wanted to open a neighborhood ‘go to’ for years,” Maloof said in the release.

“I love the area, and for the last eight years, I have lived in Reynoldstown, before that Old 4th Ward and Grant Park before that. There has been an incredible need for more family-friendly local gathering spots, and we think Manny’s will be that spot for a fun night out for drinks, a hang out to watch the game and a place for a solid meal, celebrations or a private event.”

Paces acquired the property that will house Manny’s Grant Park Pub early 2016.

The development has more than 5,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space including a lease renewal of long-time tenant Wright Style hair salon and a new Jimmy John’s.

“It was important for us to continue obtaining key parcels in the area and redevelop existing structures so that neighborhood charm and appeal would not disappear as the nearby Memorial Drive boom began,” David Cochran, CEO of Paces, said in the release.

“We were investing a great deal in the area with Larkin on Memorial and Atlanta Dairies as well as other properties along the corridor and felt we could support the changing face of the area while making improvements to others without taking away from the energy and appeal that brought us to the neighborhood.”

The development will undergo “exterior modifications including new windows, painting and facade updates, burglar bars removal and system upgrades in December with new tenants opening late spring of 2018.”
