Homebuilder and developer Taylor Morrison is behind the project set on the historic Lewis-Manning House land.

Homebuilder and developer Taylor Morrison in a press release Thursday announced its new single-family homes community, Manning on the Square, coming soon to Alpharetta.

Set on the historic Lewis-Manning House land (circa 1895) of approximately 11 acres, Taylor Morrison plans to offer 58 single-family homes with "historic charm and modern lifestyle."

Expected to open by early 2019, Manning on the Square will feature two-story homes with brick front elevations, open floor plans including a great room on the main floor with bonus rooms upstairs, designer kitchens, owner’s suites and flexible upgrade options throughout.

“This will be an exciting addition to our portfolio of communities, especially given its prestigious location and the rich history of the land,” Shawn Cate, vice president of sales and marketing for Taylor Morrison’s Atlanta division, said in the release.

“We feel these homes will be ideal for those looking to live in a stunning new home in a peaceful oasis close to everything, from dining to shopping to recreation."

The project first received approvals to move forward from the City of Alpharetta late-2017.

  1. Taylor Morrison is no friend of Alpharetta residents.
Our subdivision will be blocked in on both sides of hwy 9 with their two developments.? Traffic congestion and traffic accidents will increase due to these densely planned developments.
