The proposed site would have three skyscrapers, the first at 56 stories tall, composed of 34 stories of residential and 22 floors of hotel space.

The second and third towers would each boast 46 floors of residential living, according to the ABC.

Ashkenazy is best known for developing landmark destinations such as Union Station in Washington D.C., Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Boston, Rivercenter in San Antonio and several properties along Madison Avenue.

  1. This would not be Atlanta’s tallest. Office buildings are taller per floor than residential buildings so total height would be close the height of the 41-story 1180 office building. The tallest by floor count is the 70-story Westin Peachtree Plaza followed by the 60-story Suntrust Plaza.

  2. Just because the building has more floors than BOA Tower does not mean it will be the tallest. We already have buildings with more floors than the BOA Tower such as Suntrust which has 60 floors and the Westin which has 72. Floors do not equal height. This building will not be the tallest in Atlanta. On another note, typically residential and hotel buildings have a lower floor to ceiling height than commercial buildings and since this building will be hotel/residential it is pretty much guaranteed to be not be as tall as BOA Tower. Before making such bold claims please do some research.

  3. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the article from the ABC says it will be ONE of Atlanta’s tallest skyscrapers, not the tallest. Actually, while Bank of America Plaza currently holds the title, the Westin Peachtree Plaza is almost 20 stories taller, but is actually shorter in height. I don’t think the number of floors in the tower tells its true height.
