MAC Cosmetics Planning Ponce City Market Store

The cosmetics manufacturer is slated to open near Sephora, according to plans filed with City of Atlanta.

MAC Cosmetics could soon open its newest location in Old Fourth Ward.

The cosmetics manufacturer Tuesday filed plans with City of Atlanta to buildout a 1,089-square-foot retail store in Ponce City Market.

MAC Cosmetics would open in suite S107 in the mixed-use development a few doors down from Sephora (suite S104), another cosmetics retailer, according to the plans.

An estimated $265,000 could be spent building out the new MAC Cosmetics.

The Ponce City Market MAC Cosmetics would be the company's twentieth location in Georgia but only the third standalone store (if you include the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport outpost.)

Most of MAC Cosmetics' Georgia locations, which are highly concentrated in the greater metro Atlanta area, are situated in department stores like Macy's and Belk.
