Tito Gonzalez tells the story of Los Abuelos Mexican Grill on its website, detailing the history and conception of the restaurant, working alongside their partners Daniel Stout and Miguel Bedolla. Gonzalez also spoke over the phone about the excitement the three of them share for the upcoming location on 1420 Terrell Mill Rd SE in Marietta, which will be its second and will be part of the MarketPlace Terrell Mill, a project helmed by Connolly Development and Eden Rock Real Estate Partners.

“Los Abuelos,” which means “the grandparents” in Spanish, is part of the identity of the restaurant. “The unique flavors, along with the art and culture of Mexico, made from the heart and crafted with pride from the grandmother recipes – all in a casual, authentic setting,” Gonzalez describes on the website. The walls display black and white images of senior citizens, as found on a site page emphasizing the importance of the community. Gonzalez, Stout, and Bedolla first started Los Abuelos Mexican Grill in 2018 in Newnan at 25 Newnan Crossings Bypass.
Gonzalez told What Now Atlanta (WNA) that there’s a lot to take care of at the moment as the owner was hesitant to disclose anything else about Los Abuelos Mexican Grill beyond that after extensive conversation with their partners. The start date is listed on the lease as Nov. 1, 2021, which is pending construction of the MarketPlace Terrell Mill development.
