But what’s the difference between Yogurtland and Yogli Mogli?

Check out our side-by-side comparison

California based Yogurtland is scouting space on West Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead.

Vice President of Marketing for Yogurtland, Alexis Eldridge, said that a lease has not been secured but plans call for space in the “West Paces Ferry area.”

Our scouts drove up and down West Paces looking for possible options for Yogurtland and came up empty-handed.

Our money’s on a few corner options near the Buckhead Village and the newly renovated Buckhead Theatre.

And we know we are beating a dead horse here, but does Atlanta need more yogurt? If you answered “yes,” shouldn’t incoming yogurt brands at least offer a unique identifier?

We can’t get through our heads how strikingly similar Yogurtland is to Yogli Mogli which Atlanta already has an overwhelming number of with several others on the way.

Take a look at this photo side-by-side comparison of the interior design:

Offering self-served yogurt at $0.39 an ounce, Yogurtland and Yogli Mogli also offer an exact 16 flavors. Looks like someone dipped their yogurt in someone else’s.

Stay tuned for the exact location when that information is available.

  1. Wow, so much for originality…
Yogurtland was founded in 2006, Mogli in 2009. So I guess its obvious to see who deserves a lawsuit.
I can understand visiting Cali, seeing a great concept and trying to do something similar here in ATL.
But to copy EVERYTHING???!! Down to the TILES??? Get a life Mogli. Thats wack…just downright embarrassing.

  2. I think the old Tazza coffee location or Elements massage location next to little azios on Northside drive would be perfect! Especially since Berkeley Heights apartments would provide good walk through traffic.

  3. They do have a signed lease in the West Paces Ferry Shopping Center!!!

As an ATL native living in California, it is plain to see who the frozen yogurt winner will be in Atlanta as well as anywhere else Yogurtland lays it’s golden egg.

I’ve had mogli, and all the other ATL froyo concepts, they all taste the same as they all come from the same provider. However, only YL makes there own delicious yogurt rather than buying from the same supplier as the rest. My wife made me get it every night of her pregnancy, and the taste truly sets it apart from the others.

And this is the best part, mogli and all the other $.39/oz froyo guys can’t compete as YL only charges $.30/oz and that’s even what they charge in California! YL doesn’t need to sue mogli, although it did shock me to see they did their best to replicate the YL image, they simply need to open the first store this spring and let the customers decide…
