Divinely Elegant Vines, coming to 2730 Broad Street, is expected to open by the end of February. The team behind the veteran-owned and women-owned tasting room is husband-and-wife duo Jessena and Michael Waldo.

The brand offers sustainably sourced wines from California vineyards. Jessena Waldo told What Now Atlanta they wanted to bring their wine, which is sold online, to more people – and Cincinnati Junction, a historic site in downtown Austell, is the perfect place to do it.

“We love the historic area,” she said. “We wanted to make it a destination place.”

The Waldos designed the space themselves, striving to create comfortable and inviting environment. The space will offer free wifi for customers who want to settle in and stay awhile, whether that’s to relax or to work.

“We wanted it to look like a comfortable, welcoming space to have a sip or do a tasting, where you can also buy a bottle of wine to take home with you,” Jessena said.

  1. That’s a pretty misleading headline. It appears the landlord kicked them out and that is not even mentioned in the story. If Covid kept them from maintaining the business, that’s one thing, but being kicked out is another.

  2. Great coffee shop – I’ve had many group project meetings here when I was attending GSU.
The customer base is probably 85% students and 15% office workers. When everyone WFH and the GSU campus closed they suffered. Sorry to see it go. It is one of the bright spots of downtown.
