Wash Club Laundromat opened at 5539 Old National Highway in June 2024, just southwest of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. In addition to self-service washers and dryers, the 6,000-square-foot facility offers drop-off services, leaving customers with washed, dried and even folded clothes. They are growing fast and currently working on a new location in Marietta.

This is the first business for 21-year-old Ali Momin, but his entrepreneurial spirit goes way back.

“I come from family businesses,” he told What Now Atlanta. “My dad was an entrepreneur. This is my first venture myself. We’re bringing a new focus to the industry and trying to do things differently.”

Wash Club Laundromat is fitted with 80 state-of-the-art, touch-screen washers and dryers for a convenient and efficient experience, creating a wash-and-dry time of 45 minutes. Specialized services are available too, from the small (such as a machine setting designed for washing sneakers) to the large.

“We have a huge population of people that already have washing machines but they come in here just to wash their big loads, like comforters,” Momin said.

The space offers modern amenities like free Wi-Fi and a play area for kids. They also just got a van that will allow the company to launch pick-up and delivery services for added convenience.

Despite the ups and downs of business ownership, Momin has always been confident in the process.

“I knew it wasn’t going to be easy from day one,” he said. “I always have to prepare myself mentally to be ready for whatever comes my way. There’s always things that come in and shock you a little bit because you haven’t seen it before, but there’s no hoops we haven’t jumped over.”

The concept’s second location, planned for a space on Powder Springs Street in Marietta, is expected to open within the next few months.
