The Mexican restaurant, at 903 Peachtree Street in the former Bakeshop space, first opened in March, 2012.

This is the second Metro Atlanta Lime Fresh to close in 2013. The Mexican grill shuttered its Peachtree Hills location in January.

Despite the closures, the Florida-based quick service restaurant has plans to open another location in the Atlanta area and will announce those details “at a later date,” a Lime Fresh spokesperson told What Now Atlanta early 2013.

  1. YES! Best news since Five Napkin closed. This place was a good idea, but was just really, really bad. Once Senor Patron opened, Lime’s days were numbered.

  2. It’s no surprise. With no proper wait staff, half decent food and poor lighting this location was doomed from the start. Midtowners want creative food and even more creative drinks. And they sure don’t want to get up to order a 2nd round. A new Mexican joint with their act together will work great in this spot.

  3. The Buckhead location has also closed per their website, so my guess is that that future 2013 location is no longer coming either.

  4. We went there once and only once. It was horrible. I’m convinced the queso we ordered was just melted velveeta. Hopefully something great will open in the space.

  5. Over priced tex-mex with no flavor? Did they actually think they had a chance? As everyone else has said, I do hope something good moves in. Its a great space.
